Latex:
I started working in Latex after I was introduced to the program by my brother. I enjoy the freedom that it gives to control content, and I am now a firm convert. I hope that this page will be a useful resource for those exploring Latex.
Tools and Resources:After working with Latex for a few months I have compiled a set of what I think are the most useful resources for working with Latex. I write Latex code in emacs and use a custom makefile to compile it. This seems to be the most robust and quick way of developing in Latex. Here I provide the makefile I use, original author is credited in the file, as well as the Latex reference material I have found to be most useful.
For the Make file just delete the extension on it and it should work fine, this site builder I am using does not allow files without extensions. An excellent general resource for LaTeX is available here Here are the sites I got these files from: Make: http://www.bouncingchairs.net/oss Short Math Guide: ftp://ftp.ams.org/ams/doc/amsmath/short-math-guide.pdf Symbols Guide: www.colorado.edu/physics/phys4610/phys4610_sp15/PHYS4610_sp15/Home_files/LaTeXSymbols.pdf Fancy Hdr Guide: ftp://www.ctan.org/pub/texarchive/macros/latex2e/contrib/fancyhdr/fancyhdr.pdf |

ResumeI recently updated my resume recently using some great tutorials and documentation found here: http://www.rpi.edu/dept/arc/training/latex/resumes/. The new format provided clearer information representation and makes future updates far simpler. You can find the TeX file for my resume here:

Example Document Format:When I first started Latex one of the things that I struggled with most was just getting document started. It took me a very long time to figure out a good way to set up the small details of page. Here I provide a quick example Tex file which includes my standard formatting that I use for all of my documents:

Dynamics Home Work:I decided to take class notes and do my homework for my classes this fall in Latex. My thinking was that it would make me more comfortable with the program as well as allow me to produce some impressive documents. Here are a couple of my dynamics homeworks from the fall of 2012:
